Sustaining Interest and Enthu!!!!

Am just Back from Kinetic lessons, so this thing was in my mind since last two days. It’s been nearly ten days learning to ride kinetic and have been sustaining interest in it. I get up at 5:00 AM and religiously leave for the classes and have learnt it too. It has to be appreciated by me, as it WAS not my nature. But now when I look back thanks to YES!+, it is slowly becoming a part of me.
I have this long history of non-sustaining interest in anything. I had this Brahma Shakti (Creative Energy), But less of Vishnu Shakti (maintenance energy). This was the case with my Classical dance classes. I still feel the pinch that I stopped the classes’ just week before my first stage performance :( Reason I gave to my mother was, teacher hits too much and hence leg has started paining (Read: Wanted to play in the evenings rather than get beatings from her).Or my first driving lessons, Sadhana in the beginning, my GNIIT classes or even cooking. Pathetic ends to my interests.

One person whom I know of having sustaining interest and enthusiasm in anything which she does is my sister Viji. You need to meet her. Very creative. She makes these beautiful cards for her loved ones during important occasions, or tidying her room, collecting various things etc etc. Like now I have given her the work of drafting and typing my Project Work. She has been doing it so regularly and within few hours she has covered many pages. This is her Enthusiasm. She does not leave anything half-done.

There was a very thin line, according to me, between obsession and low enthusiasm, before. Either I was obsessed or uninterested. But that thin layer between it is Joy. That’s what I see in most of us…
